When we support the Silicon Valley Campaign for Legal Services, we help people stay in their homes, keep families together, protect and secure income and improve our community.  You can make a difference for the clients of eight, independent 501(c)3, legal services organizations.

Here are some stories of just a few of those we have helped:

Robert's service in Vietnam left him with severe psychological injuries. When the Veterans' Administration repeatedly denied his requests for assistance, a legal aid attorney helped him prove the VA had made a mistake.  He now receives back payments and benefits.

Sally, Lisa, and Kara had to fend for themselves, finding food and shelter wherever they could because their mother, suffering from terminal cancer, was frequently homeless.  Legal aid advocates obtained guardianships for these teenage sisters, and today they have a stable home, while their mother is under hospice care.

Jennifer, a mother of two young children, was a victim of domestic violence who lost her job due to the physical and emotional strain of her situation.  Legal advocates helped her obtain a protective restraining order, a divorce, child support, and unemployment insurance. Jennifer is now enrolled in a technical school and has high hopes for the future.

I'm ready to contribute.

We wish you a happy and healthy holiday season.
